Performance Development is a supportive and developmental process designed to ensure that all staff have the knowledge, skills, and support needed to carry out their roles effectively. It will help to ensure that colleagues are able to continue to improve their professional practice and to develop as individual practitioners and professionals.
All staff are set 3 SMART objectives as part of the PD cycle. These objectives ensure that the performance development of staff retains a focus on school and/or trust improvement, promotes and develops professional behaviours in the workplace, and ensures staff follow a path of tailored CPD to improve their professional practice.
-
Objective 1: Linked to the organisation’s development plan
-
Objective 2: Demonstrating and Promoting the ‘TLP Behaviours’
-
Objective 3: Personal Growth Plan
The Trust uses the ‘BlueSky’ online performance development platform as the mechanism for supporting and recording performance development in all its schools.
Performance Development
Strategic workforce planning is a developing area within the People Strategy. There are several strands to this work, including a review of current staffing structures, financial modelling, and data from performance development objectives, to meet the more immediate needs of our schools this recruitment cycle. However, our work is also focused on ensuring we have a strong pipe line of talent within the organisation we can both develop and retain, and that our workforce can meet the aspirations of the trust moving forwards. The use of ICFP and The Learning Institute will be instrumental in this area.
